Buyer Beware: carcinogenic sudan 1 colorant By E. Burson See http://archive.nics.gov.uk/hss/030801d-hss.htm. for recall by the UK of this and other rajah products; search Sudan 1 to find all brands.
You can search further and get the onsite inspection results– insects and rodents and stuff.
The product website now includes disclaimers about ingredients– so I have no confidence they have removed the Sudan 1.
I agree with all the other reviewers– the best ever tandoori blend. I am hugely disappointed. I was hoping I would find some info that they positively took out the Sudan I, but all I found was a set of disclaimers.
I found that Schilling Curry has the same general order of ingredients, does not have the bright orange color, so that is my substitute for now.Rajah Tandoori Masala 100g (3.5oz) – Pack of 2 Tins

Fabulous Masala By Burnadette Mae Green Someone gave us the RaJah Tandorri Masala as a present and we used it in a recipe for chicken curry. WOW! We couldn’t find it where we live so we bought it on line and it’s fantastic – must have it once a week for dinner!

Most Awsome for Vegetables By LynnC Rajah is the best in my opinion. I love doing a quick, easy stir fry with veggies and then adding this delicious spice toward the end. Get awsome taste with low cal, healthy vegetables. Makes them a beautiful color also.
